Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet         Eating her bowl of peas,
Along came a spider and
died fight beside her,
Because of the DDT.

Little Boy Blue can't blow his horn,
Because pollution has already affected his corn.

Old King Coal,
Was a dirty old soul.
And a dirty old soul was he.
He dirtied the air,
He dirtied the sea,
And he died from pollution, did he!

K. Edwards
Three blind mice, three blind mice.
Why can't they see?  Why can't they see?
Bcause they pollute and because they waste,
Because there's smoke all over the place,
There home is such a terrible disgrace,
That's why they're three blind mice,
three blind mice.

Twinkle, Twinkle little star,
How I wonder where you are.
Through this dirt, soot, and grime,
It's no wonder you don't shine.

L. Whitbey
Jack and Jill went up the hill
to fetch a pail of water,
Jack fell down
and broke his crown,
Because he drank the water.

Row, row, row your boat
Roughly down the foamy sea.
Junked cans all over the place.
Now what a sight to see.

Hickory, dickory,doc.
The mouse went up the clock.
When he got there,
There was so much smoke in the air,
He fell right off the clock.

Roses were red,
Violets were blue,
The environment's dirty
And so are you!

G. Davis
Oh where, oh where has our environment gone?
Oh where, oh where can it be?
It's beneath the soot, the grime, the sludge.
Oh why? Oh how can this be?

Yankee Doodle went to town,
a-riding in a Chevy.
Couldn't see the street in front,
Because the smog was heavy.
Yankee Doodle clean it up,
Yankee Doodle dandy.
Yankee Doodle pick it all up,
And with the broom be handy.

K.Krull
I went to a river and what could I see?
A bunch of old cans and a dead bumblebee!
It floated down the river with all the mud and slime.
I looked around and saw an old shoe of mine.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
He fell into a pile of garbage and trash
And all the king's horses
and all the king's men
Couldn't get close to Humpty again.

M.Gary
There was an old aldy who lived in a shoe,
She had so much garbage, she didn't know
what to do....
There were boxes and cans, and coke bottles too,
That made the old lady move out of the shoe.

A.O'Donnell
Hey, diddle , diddle,
The cat and the fiddle.
The cow jumped over the moon.
But he got caught up there,
because of the polluted air
and never was seen again.

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick,
Jack choked before he could get over the
     oil slick.

To search for some vittles to eat.
She was virtually astounded
By the smog that surrounded
And decided that scum could not be beat!
