| Last two work days: 1. We finished the circle by checking for weeds, watering plants, and placing landscape bricks at the four quadrats. |
| The ground was compacted and has a high clay content. We had to use a mattock (like a pick-ax) to dig into the soil. We mixed a lot of compost, peat moss, and top soil to help the plants. We are still waiting to purchase 3 flowering dogwood for this area but we have the perennial gardens in as well as the hostas that will back the dogwoods. We put down newspaper right away this time and had a great looking shredded mulch to apply. |

| 2. Finished digging and planting (except for trees) in the front portion of school between the two banks of doors. This is where the lilacs were planted in the spring. |
