Water to Ice by Christine George
(sung to "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star")
Water comes from clouds so grey.
Making puddles on a rainy day.
   Water from clouds
    Make puddles on the ground.
    Puddles of rain all around.
Water comes from clouds so grey.
Making puddles on a rainy day.

Winter comes the cold winds blow.
Water to ice and rain to snow.
   Icy puddles on the ground,
   Slipping, sliding all around.
Winter comes the cold winds blow.
Water to ice and rain to snow.
The Itsy Bitsy Seed  by Michelle S.
Oh the itsy bitsy seed (sitting curled in chair)
Put down its little roots. (stick out legs)
Down came the rain
And up went the shoot (stand up)
Out came the sun
And opened up the leaves (stick arms up and fingers out)
And the itsy bitsy seed
Grew up to be a tree.
   Dinosaur Stomp
By Melissa Faella (Anchor Bay)

Dinosaur, Dinosaur, let me be.
Please don't come running after me!!
  Stomp-stomp-stomp!!
Here come the carnivores they eat meat
Please don't make me your tasty treat!!
   Stomp-stomp-stomp!
Here comes the herbivore, he's eating a leaf,
Please don't eat me, I taste like beef!
     Stomp-stomp-stomp!!
Here come the omnivores - they eat it all,
Pleae don't eat me, I'm much too small!!
   Stomp-stomp-stomp!!
Dinosaur, dinosaur, let me be
Please don't come running after me!!
All around the vinegar bowl,
The children stirred the powder.
Adults thought it was all a joke,
Fizz! goes the powder.

Tune of " Row, Row, Row Your Boat"
     By Michele Neuchterlein

Bats, bats all around,
Flying up and down.
Nighttime flapping, daytime napping.
They're sleeping, make no sound.
Butterfly by Laura Zaiglin  ("Are You Sleeping?"
I am symmetrical. (students repeat line)
I have antennas (repeat)
I came from a chrysalis. (repeat)
And I love to fly. (repeat)
Chugga Choo, Engine
Running down the tracks
Going fast
Getting there on time.

Dumping in the coal
Keep the fire burning
Going fast
Gotta keep the time.

There's the town
I can see the station
Slow it down
We have kept the time.

Pour on some water
Gotta slow it down
wave at the people
We've arrived on time.

123 watch the leaves fall off the tree.
Once they hung tight,
Then took off in flight,
As the seasons changed summer to fall.

The Caterpillar Song
(to "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star!)

  Caterpillar crawling 'round,
Eating of the cold, cold ground.
Munching, crunching off a tree,
A chrysalis is where he'll be.
Time goes by and my oh my,
He's a beautiful butterfly!

I am brown
Or maybe black,
I live in a cave
Sleepng in the winter.
I wake up in the spring.

T- Rex (to "The Addams Family"
T-Rex (snap, snap)
T-Rex (snap, snap)
T-Rex, T-Rex, T-Rex (snap, snap)

Dinosaurs are favorites,
We know we'll never see 'em
Please ask which ones are the best
We'll tell you it's T-Rex.

Fierce and mean this carnivore
Teeth so sharp, just like the shark
Bigger than our classroom
You know it's the T-Rex
